I have 24 Silkie and Silkie cross eggs in the incubator! I have 5 girls that are laying: 2 black sizzles, 1 Silver partridge Silkie, 1 Buff Silkie, and 1 Blue Frilkie. I have 3 roos with them: Mottled Cochin, Black Silkie/Cochin smooth, and Buff Silkie. So, I will have fun trying to figure out who is the daddy. We will keep you updated on how things are going.
Yippee! More chickens! Last weekend, we purchased a trio of Crele Old English and a Mille Fleur Cochin pair (pictured)! The Mille roo is named "Sun Drop" and his girl is named "Honey Bun".
Now, our Creles have some very interesting factors. I bought "Striker", the Crele rooster, and "Whistle", Crele pullet, to produce regular Creles. Then, I got "Ducky". She is a Silver Crele. She will produce Crele pullets and Golden Crele roosters. Cool, huh?
So when you buy OEGBs from me, you have options. If you want to learn more about Crele genetics, email me and we can talk. If you want to see pictures of the Creles, click
Cute and fluffy little Mottled Cochin babies poped into the world on July 21st! Love them! 3 of them are for sale for $5!
Happy day after the 4th! We sure had fun here on the farm!
